Simon Lorenzi has secured the third ascent of Return of the Sleepwalker, the 9A/V17 boulder problem at Red Rocks, USA,  established by Daniel Woods in 2021. The bloc was first repeated by Will Bosi in February 2024.

Lorenzi traveled to the United States in early December specifically with this problem in mind. Despite making promising progress initially, he kept falling short. Lorenzi persisted though and, demonstrating his unique ability to perform under pressure, he succeeded after 35 sessions and on the day before his flight back to Belgium. As the saying goes, "Last day, best day."

With 9A representing the pinnacle of modern bouldering, Lorenzi now joins Will Bosi as one of only two climbers in the world to have completed four 9A boulder problems. Lorenzi's previous 9A sends include Soudain Seul in Fontainebleau (first ascended by Lorenzi himself in 2021), Shawn Raboutou's Alphane in Chironico, Switzerland (2022), and Nalle Hukkataival's Burden of Dreams in Lappnor, Finland (2023).
