C.A.M.P. Ikon and Ikon Nova climbing helmets obtain the 2025 iF Design Award

The new C.A.M.P. Ikon and Ikon Nova helmets have obtained the coveted 2025 iF Design Award. Among the most prestigious design awards worldwide, it is the emblem of first-class quality. iF International Forum Design GmbH, among the oldest independent design institutions in the world, have awarded it for the past seventy years. The award was part of the Product discipline, in the 1.02 Sports/Outdoor category, underlining the unique, innovative features of the two mountaineering and climbing helmets. The award was given by a jury made up by 131 independent professionals and is once again a testament to the excellence of C.A.M.P. products, which triumphed among more than 11,000 entries from 66 countries: this alone illustrates the relevance of this contest.
Available now in the best outdoor shops, the Ikon and Ikon Nova helmets are state-of-the-art helmets that combine the protection and sturdiness of hardshell models with the lightness and ventilation of in-mold ones. They feature an exceptionally sturdy ABS outer shell with a 3D pattern at the vent openings. The shell is constructed around a molded inner structure that combines an internal EPP main structure with an EPS top, enhancing protection in case of side impacts. An eye for sustainability should not go amiss, with components that can be detached for cleaning or replacement, to better manage the end of life of the product, as well as the minimal packaging made up by recycled carton, where no plastic was employed.
C.A.M.P. is a world leader in the manufacturing and sale of technical mountaineering, climbing, hiking and ski mountaineering tools. Founded in Premana in 1889, in the mountains around Lecco, where its headquarters are still located, the firm is led by the fourth generation of the Codega family. To craft something special: this has been the credo of each new C.A.M.P. product for the past 135 years. To manufacture an item that sets itself apart from what is already there, setting standards in terms of performance, duration and lightness. C.A.M.P. takes the needs of all mountain lovers at heart, examining what’s already available, then searching for more adequate answers to improve the experience of professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Since 1954, the iF Design Award is a worldwide recognition of excellence in design. It represents the highest standards in several categories such as products, packaging, communications and services, architecture and interior design, professional concepts, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). All the awards are published on the website ifdesign.com.

The passion is the one for the mountain and for the products that help everyone that go out there to accomplish their dreams and projects; the work is the one handed on for more than 115 years by four different generations that succeeded to the helm of the company, and the simplicity that marks a way of doing and collaborating based on seriousness and fairness.
