Arc'teryx Alpine Academy 2019, film premieres and top speakers at the Alpine Village

Film premieres and top speakers feature highly in the Alpine Village program of the Arcteryx Alpine Academy 2019, the unique event from 4 - 7 July for climbers of all abilities wishing to learn more about climbing and alpinism directly at Chamonix Mont Blanc.

From July 4-7 the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy reunites the alpine community in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Inspiring film world premieres and presentations from world-class athletes, educating expert talks, live music and entertaining daily activities await alpine enthusiast from all over the world – and it’s all for free! The Alpine Village at Place du Triangle is the place to be throughout the day. The full program is now available online.

No matter if alpine rookie or expert, at the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy everyone is welcome to participate in the enriching experiences on offer at the Alpine Village and the surrounding mountains.

World premieres & elite athlete presentations
This year’s film line-up will exhibit a set of five films about people’s passion for what they do including top athletes’ projects and environmental & social causes. Amongst others, the two world premieres ‘Saipal’ and ‘On the Verge’ will be debuted along with the award winning film ‘Ice & Palms’ – definitely a must-see.

During four days, a number of outstanding personalities will be on stage with inspiring talks, including alpinist Greg Hill and climbing legends Liv Sansoz and Ines Papert.

Daily activities
Under a giant, transparent canopy in the centre of Chamonix, the Alpine Village will be the place to hang out not only at night but also during the day. The lounge area in the heart of the Alpine Village is perfect to relax, enjoy food and drinks, and mingle with friends, athletes and guides. The bouldering wall and partner tents offer different challenges, athlete demos and fun bouldering sessions for all alpine enthusiasts throughout the day from Friday to Sunday, July 5-7.
