Sébastien Bouin continues his Vintage Rock Tour to discover the climbs and crags that have helped shape the history of sport climbing and obviously the 28-year-old had to stop off at Cimaï in Southern France. Throughout the ’80’s and ’90’s these slightly overhanging sheets of bullet-proof limestone were developed by legends Denis Garnier, Jacques Perrier, Robert Exertier and Fred Tuscan, and it is here that ground-breaking ascents were made such as the world’s first 8a onsight at the hands of Antoine Le Menestrel on Samizdat in 1987, and the first female 8b+ redpoint, achieved by Lynn Hill three years later on Masse Critique.
