After Hugh and Akira, Sébastien Bouin has now made the long-awaited first repeat of another Fred Rouhling climbing milestone, De l’autre Côté du Ciel at Les Eaux Claires. The route in question breaches the huge roof via a highly physical sequence of moves, almost all of which were chipped by Rouhling prior to the first ascent in 1997. The route lay unrepeated until now and 27-year-old Bouin, during his Vintage Rock Tour in search of hardest routes in France of the 80’s and 90’s, obviously couldn’t give skip this one.
