New Stetind climb in Norway by Dave MacLeod and Calum Muskett
On 2 September 2024 Dave MacLeod and Calum Muskett made the first ascent of 'Line Dancing' (800m, E5 6b) on the SW Face of Stetind in Norway.
After waiting nearly a month for adequate weather, on the 2nd of September Dave MacLeod and Calum Muskett established a new route up Stetind in Norway. The new route is located on the mountain’s SW Face, starts to the left of South West Face (Joda Dolmans, Andreas Widlund 2023) and after the first ~70m shared with the West Ridge route it breaks clear and climbs the main wall above before rejoining the West Ridge and following this to the summit. Line Dancing is 800m high, breaches difficulties up to E5 6b and was completed on the pair's second attempt, after rain and strong winds forced the climbers to retreat a few days earlier.
