Jorge Díaz-Rullo repeats 'Stoking the fire' (9b) in Santa Linya
25-year-old Jorge Díaz-Rullo from Madrid has repeated Stoking the fire, the huge 9b in the immense Santa Linya cave in Spain, originally bolted by former world champion Tomaz Mrazek and freed in 2013 by Chris Sharma.
The Spaniard first laid hands on the line two years ago but soon concentrated his efforts on other climbs such as Sleeping Lion and Cafe Colombia, but he returned this season and after just 6 days of attempts managed to clip the anchors of this benchmark 9b.
Stoking the fire is now Díaz-Rullo's 14th 9b or harder. He is currently working his immense Cafe Colombia project at Margalef and given the speed with which he dispatched Stoking the fire, CC should prove to be significantly harder.
