Brenna at Sasso Remenno
Cristian Brenna repeats Cristallica (Fb7c/c+) followed by Miki" Giannattasio and Simone Pedeferri. Brenna also repeats Spirit Walker (8c) as does Giorgio Piasini at the Sasso Remenno.
Brenna is back. During a rainy Easter break to Sasso Remenno (Val Masino - Italy), Cristian climbed the 8m Cristallica; first ascended by Daniele Pigoni and graded 8a, its only bolt had been recently removed. Brenna checked it out on toprope before sending this highball, which now settles in at Fb 7c/c+. Locals "Miki" Giannattasio and Simone Pedeferri repeated this performance a few days later. Brenna then set his sights on Spirit Walker, a buldery 8c climbed way back in 1990 by Daniele Pigoni, and recently repeated by Giorgio Piasini. Brenna needed about a dozen attempts to confirm the grade.
