Petzl Legend Tour / Watch Federica Mingolla climb Grand Capucin in the footsteps of Walter Bonatti

Walter Bonatti, Mont Blanc, his mountaineering. The new episode of the Petzl Legend Tour Italy takes you on a journey through history and time. After a visit to the National Museum of the Mountain, Federica Mingolla and Alberto Boschiazzo climb to the summit of Grand Capucin via the 'Bonatti-Ghigo' route, first ascended by Bonatti and Luciano Ghigo in 1951. The film 'States of Grace' directed by Klaus Dall'Orto is presented by Laura Giunta.

The states of grace of Walter Bonatti, his huge archive now stored in the Turin-based National Museum of the Mountain, the magic of the Mont Blanc massif, the grandeur of the east face of Grand Capucin, its unmistakable red granite, the numerous pages of mountaineering history that were written these walls, the perfection of the climbs on cracks, corners, roofs and vertical slabs that even today fuel the dreams and pose a challenge for countless mountaineers.

These are the ingredients of this episode of Petzl Legend Tour Italia which will take you on a journey through history and time. It leads to the summit of Grand Capucin, up a route established on the east face by Walter Bonatti and Luciano Ghigo between 21 and 23 July 1951, thanks to Petzl athlete and Mountain Guide Federica Mingolla.
