On the final pitch of Filtro Magico
On 22/09 Alessio Roverato and Alberto De Giuli repeated Filtro Magico, the 500m route first ascended in 1996 by Gigi Dal Pozzo, Venturino De Bona and Maurizio Fontana on the south face of the Spiz D’Agner (Dolomites). Originally graded IX A3, the two young climbers did not manage to free the 12 pitch route but their ascent, probably the first repeat, is nevertheless worth mentioning. After bailing a first attempt on the 1st of September they went for it again, climbing up fantastic rock. Roverato's comment, "never seen rock this good in the mountains" speaks plenty.
