Federica Mingolla, together with Roberto Conti, climbed it: the beautiful and famous Via Attraverso il Pesce, (Fish route, or in German, Weg durch den Fisch) up the Queen of the Dolomites. Klaus Dell'Orto, Pietro Bagnara and Mirko Sotgiu of OpenCircle were at hand to document the entire undertaking, and here’s a brief teaser of the work. Not more than twenty seconds at present, but more than enough to render what it was like up there, high up on the immense South Face of Marmolada on Sunday, July 17, 2016.

On Sunday, July 17, 2016 Italy’s Federica Mingolla made a free ascent of the famous Fish Route (Via Attraverso il Pesce) on the south face of Marmolada, Dolomites. She is probably the first women to lead the entire route free. The ascent was carried out, together with Roberto Conti, in 18 hours and 27 minutes.
