"We were shaking from the cold in unison to the rhythm of the our hearts, emotions were overflowing. Hugged each other on top Simone and I, we yelled something close to the sky, destroying the peace of temple of Gods. The feeling of victory was very sharp, beautiful as the world around. Although, of course, it was difficult to see something by a fierce wind and cold - we had feeling that eyes were frozen, and on the eyelashes stuck pieces of ice. We understand that we are together again passed an important test that will gives strength in the future. There was no rationality in mountaineering - it was necessary to us and only us as the meaning of life, as an opportunity to become stronger. The inspiration we had going to the top, was on the verge of art, and we reveled with this feeling on top of Makalu. Because it was the moment of truth - the moment, worth more than all the years of emptiness."
