Melloblocco 2013, today the special evening dedicated to Valle di Mello

The evening starts at 21:00 at the Mello theatre (Centro Polifunzionale della montagna – Val Masino) with Patabang, the new film directed by Andrea Frigerio. This is a documentary of those unmissable stories of anarchy, rock climbing and imagination that made this granite and the unique Val di Mello - the world's most beautiful valley - famous worldwide. Jacopo Merizzi will then introduce "Mellomito", his guidebook which focuses on the Val di Mello Nature Reserve with its splendid granite walls, waterfall games and lush green, century-old forest.

Guests and "prime players" during the event will be, in addition to the aforementioned Andrea Frigerio and Jacopo Merizzi, the incredible Paolo Masa and local climbing artist Simone Pedeferri. But other guest stars are expected...

In the meantime, the games this morning n the (covered) boulders continued with... success. A few minutes ago the (crazy as usual) Columbian Christian Aristizabal Serna sent Nona misura naturale, bringing his tally to 2. The strong team of Enrico Baistrocchi, Riccardo Caprasecca and Silvio Reffo are busying away and Reffo, upon arriving last night, sent Alpha Male right when it got... pitch black. The trio are hard at work trying to double their takings. The women are busy ., too, with Barbara Zangerl, Julia Abramchuk and Anna Borella all out there this morning. We'll let you know how things progress.
