Youth World Climbing Championship 2000, the results

Pablo Alfonso (ESP) and Barbara Bacher (AUT) win Junior Difficulty in Amsterdam
The Youth World Climbing Championship 2000 [YWC 2000] took place in Amsterdam's Sporthallen Zuid last weekend. More than 300 athletes between the ages of 14-19 represented 31 different countries in the competition organised by the Dutch Mountaineering and Climbing Club (NKBV).

The athletes competed for the Difficulty and Speed events and were divided into three categories according to age: Youth B (born in 1985 and 1986) Youth A (born in 1983 and 1984) and Junior (born in 1981 and 1982).
