International Master Serre Chevalier

Two Superfinals needed for Hirayama and Sansoz to win prestigious Master
Last weekend's coveted International Master in Serre Chevalier, France was won by Japanese Yuji Hirayama and French Liv Sansoz. Both athletes saw off tough competition in an event which eventually needed two Superfinals to produce a clear winner.

Both Hirayama and Russian Otchinikov topped out in the men's Final, while last year's winner Cristian Brenna fell just short of the chain and
Alexandre Chabot one hold lower still. Hirayama pulled out all the stops in the resulting Superfinal to add Chevalier to his list of victories.

Liv Sansoz, Stéphanie Bodet and Muriel Sarkany all qualified for the women's Superfinal. Even this failed to produce a clear winner since both Sansoz and Sarkany reached the same highpoint. The judges therefore reverted to the Semi-final results to proclaim Sansoz winner of this 11th edition of Serre Chevalier.
