No great surprises after the Open in the Ice master Valle di Daone
The first day of the Ice Master World Cup came to an successful end a few hours ago with no great surprises. The day started off in perfectly cold conditions with the Women's Open, which saw a massive 12 joint-equals. The men's event, on two different routes, was marked by an impressive display of power and technique by the likes of Dimitri Bychkov "Harry" Berger, Mathias Schiestl, Samuel Anthamatten and Jack Muller. All five athletes made a clear three top run, followed closely by Stephane Husson, with three tops in four attempts.
