Uncut: watch Stefano Ghisolfi make first ascent of Excalibur (9b+)

The uncut climbing video of Stefano Ghisolfi making the first ascent of 'Excalibur' (9b+) close to Arco, Italy. Graded 9b+, this checks in as one of the hardest sport climbs in the world

After months of attempts, on 3 February 2023 Stefano Ghisolfi managed to free one of the most difficult routes in the world, Excalibur at Drena close to Arco, Italy. With its tiny crimps on a 40° overhanging sheet of rock, the route heralded a new level of power needed to reach the chains and, unlike most 9b, 9b+ and 9c routes which are fairly long, this is the exact opposite: short and incredibly intense. Here is the uncut video of Ghisolfi's masterpiece.
