Solveig Korherr onsights 8b+ with Humildes pa Casa at Oliana

Solveig Korherr is currently making the most of crisp conditions in Spain where for the last fortnight she has been on a unstoppable roll. After the June 2022 wildfires Oliana seems to have been restored to much of its former glory, and it is here that the 25-year-old German has spent most of her time, ticking a bunch of 8's at great speed (see list below) and, interestingly, claiming her first 8b+ onsight on Humildes pa Casa.

In the past Korherr has redpointed up to 9a, onsighted various 8b's and flashed an 8b+, and she spent half an hour fighting her way up the Contrafort de Rumbau in the purest of styles to join the small group of female climbers capable of onsighting 8b+.

It is worth remembering that the current female best stands at 8c, thanks to Janja Garnbret who in November 2021 at Oliana claimed the coveted first female 8c onsight with her ascent of Fish Eye.
