German climber Roland Hemetzberger has added two new testpieces to Achleiten, Austrian crag high up in the Tyrolean Alps. The first route is called Tunnelblick, is 30m long and overhangs 12m and is graded 8c+/9a, while the second is the nearby Goldenpearl, a steep wild travese with crazy dynos weighing in at 8b+/8c. Both routes were freed on the very same day and the 22-year-old reckons Tunnelblick - tunnel vision - is not only his hardest first ascent to date, but also his most beautiful!
