News from "downunder". A few days ago Monique Forestier from Australia made the third ascent of the beautiful Larger Than Life, a 40m outing graded 31 (8b) at Centennial Glen, Blue Mountains. The route first climbs Wrong Movements (27) to then break off left in a long traverse past a series of roofs and cruxes. Forestier, who has seven 31 grade routes under her belt, described Larger than Life as being one of her best ascents to date. Fellow countryman Garth Miller continues to forge new lines and in mid-April he freed one of the hardest on the continent, One on One at Mini Ha Ha, Blue Mountains. He has put forward the grade 33/34 (8c/8c+), but as usual this awaits confirmation. Anybody's project next holiday? For further information check out www.onsight.com.au
