British climber Mina Leslie-Wujastyk
Mina Leslie-Wujastyk is one of the Uk’s leading climbers. After the first female ascents of Bat Route 8c at Malham Cove, Mecca Extension 8c at Raven Tor and the lofty arête Careless Torque at Stanage, the 29-year-old Sheffield-based climber has now decided to take things one stage further and try the famous Rainshadow, a 9a through the central overhangs of Malham Cove by Steve McClure in 2003. While training at the famous School Room in Sheffield, Leslie-Wujastyk talks about her project, her past experiences and fears in this excellent, somewhat unusual climbing video.
