The little crag Marchegg was established in 2005 by the South Tyroleans Nereo Ongaro, Markus Huber and Michl Langes, all members of South Tyrolean Alpine Club. The south facing crag is located close to Maso Marchegg at 1900m altitude, 2km before the ski resort Maso Corto. The crag offers splendid views onto the Venosta Alps and the relatively easy routes render Marchegg ideal for beginners and families with children as there is marvelous meadow beneath the crag. Furthermore, there is also a great little Via Ferrata on the left-hand side of the crag.
