Luca Rinaldi repeating Off the Wagon 8B+ in Valle Bavona, Switzerland
Gabriele Moroni
How strong do you need to be to send an 8B+ boulder problem? The answer, almost as simple as the question, is: very, very strong indeed. As strong as Luca Rinaldi, the 26-year-old climber from Valchiusella who the other day in Switzerland’s Valle Bavona managed to send his first 8B+ boulder, Off The Wagon. Before him those who managed the send were Finland’s Nalle Hukkataival, Germany’s Jan Hojer, America’s Jimmy Webb and Italy’s Niccolò Ceria. A list comprised of four absolute bouldering aces, now joined by Rinaldi.
