Laura Rogora is performing at a shockingly high level. Yesterday, the 23-year-old Italian sent Bombardino, a 9a+ at Bus de La Stria close to Arco, in just four attempts. Four attempts, what is more all on the same day, to send the "perfectly cut, steep and exposed line" freed by Adam Ondra in 2022 and repeated a few months later by Stefano Ghisolfi and Giovanni Placci.

Rogora's speed is beyond impressive - currently there are only a handful of climbers worldwide who can claim 9a+ in a single day - and this redpoint comes hot on the heels of her short trip to Siurana in Spain where she sent the classic Estado Critico (9a) in three attempts, and a visit to La Ramirole in the Verdon Gorge where she onsighted the 8c Spanish caravan.

Bombardino was bolted by Ondra in 2012 and initially established by the Czech as an easy variation to the original line, freed a short while later by Ondra himself and baptised Bomba. This 9b, described as "just perfect and the rock is for sure one of the best in Arco", is currently unrepeated. Probably not for much longer.
