Slovenia’s Klemen Bečan has successfully transferred his sport climbing fitness to a 220m high multi-pitch sport climb that, if confirmed, is the hardest of its genre in Croatia.

Located on the Megawall at Drašnice in southern Dalmatia, it was bolted over a four-day period in 2014 by Bečan himself. The climb is " a superb overhanging route with huge tufas" that boasts boasts five pitches, with two settling in for no less than 8c+.

Bečan hoped to finish off business 4 years ago but poor weather stopped play. After having freed the individual pitches in mid April, Bečan managed to send all of them in a single ground-up push two days ago. The new climb is called Roctrip and is graded 8c+, 8a, 8c+, 7c, 7b.

In the past the 35-year-old has onsighted up to 8c+ and redpointed up to 9a+. Furthermore, in 2016 Bečan also teamed up with Chris Sharma to free the American's project at Mont-Rebei in Spain that promises even bigger numbers.
