In recent years one of Slovenia's strongest climbers, Klemen Bečan, has given his country's sport climbing a major boost by developing Pajkova Streha, better known as the Osp grotta, that massive overhang festooned with tufas located immediately to the left of the famous Paretone face and just a stone's throw from the homonymous village and nearby Trieste.
Becan began his "mission" in 2007 and has so far bolted seven routes considered to be some of the most beautiful and challenging in the country, including the 9a's Halupca 1979 and his recent Water world, as well as the new 8b multi-pitch that breaches the entire height of the cave. Photographer and filmmaker Luka Fonda has documented this climber and his routes in this film Bala Bala, enriching it with the likes of young Domen Škofic and strong Martina Cufar.
