A population of around 400, crystal clear waters and… an unfathomable potential for new routes on fantastic limestone. This is Kyparissi, the small Greek town about five hours from Athens, described my many as the new paradise for sports climbing. A new frontier just waiting to be developed, where Austria's Angela Eiter recently saw a dream of hers come true: walk up to an almost completely untouched crag and not even know when to begin bolting…

The fruits of her labour were an 8c and an 8c+ called Gloom of Triumph but there's no need to worry, these are two exceptions and most of the 100+ routes are far, far easier.
