In 2011 Italian mountaineer Hervé Barmasse established three new routes across the Alps, on Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn. After his solo new climb on the Matterhorn in April that year, in August he teamed up with the Spaniards Iker Pou and Eneko Pou and ventured to the wild south face of Mont Blanc to establish a new route up the Left Pillar of Brouillard. This stage is documented in the first part of Non così lontano, Not so far.
