Usually we don't treat B.A.S.E. jumping, it's such a personal activity reserved to a restricted group of people that it's beyond our ability to comment. Yet we wanted to show this jump in the Baffin Islands because it really struck us, partly beacuase of the beautiful rock faces one glimpses during those few seconds of free flight, and partly because it seems to be something at the true limit, or even beyond the limit. Something completely crazy. Even if it has to be said that, given these crazy times, this certainly isn't the craziest!

The jump was carried out by the Americans Melissa Andrezjewski and Chris McNamara (author of the Yosemite supertopo guides) last year, from a sub summit of Kiguti. The two wore wingsuits which enabled them to steer their flight away from the walls and into open space above Sam Ford Fjord and their Base Camp. The video has to be seen to be believed. And obvioulsy a word of warning... don't try this at home!
