Varazze BluBloc 2015, the bouldering meeting in Liguria

The formula is simple: a day’s climbing on the beautiful boulders of metamorphic serpentine, a rock that at times resembles that at Fontainebleau, while at other times it feels like climbing on granite. As to the meeting: those who want to can take part in the competition, prior to the final prize draw. The organization, composed of Bagnasco, Christian Core, Stella Marchisio, Elia Corso and CAI Varazze, will provide a free shuttle bus service that departs from Alpicella. Last year this transported more than 200 climbers to the main area at Potala.

“There are lot’s of new things this year, above all the 30 new problems at the Potala sector, all beautiful, most very easy" explains Bagnasco, adding "Despite there having been so many people, it’s worth noting how well the boulderers behaved and respected the environment last year. This may sound obvious but unfortunately this isn’t always the case. Everyone’s invited to the meeting, we hope to see many young and less young climbers, bouldering together, sharing the same passion to transform the get-together into a big party. "

Saturday 25 April at Varazze, Italy, the international bouldering meeting Varazze - Blu Bloc
The event will include: Climbing meeting, Bouldering competition, Lottery prizes
The competition consists in climbing the most possible boulders, the list of boulders will be included in the event kit or viewable on the web site
Each boulder has a score. Those who reach the highest score wins. The competition starts at 10:00 and ends at 16. The award ceremony will take place at 17 in the cave where you will find “Gioia”.
