Trofeo Mezzalama postponed
Mezzlama Trophy 2013: the classic ski mountaineering competition on Monte Rosa has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

During the Mezzalama Trophy 2011
After 2009 and 2011, once again it's Monte Rosa who is fully in command and, in view of the recent weather forecast, the Mezzalama Trophy organisers have now been forced to postpone the race.
"During the last two days we continualy checked the weather forecast and monitored the bad weather front that is going to arrive on Monte Rosa. We hoped there'd be a break in the bad weather" explained race director Adriano Favre, adding "but this morning we realised that, for now, this is impossible so the Trofeo Mezzalama won’t take place this week end. We spoke to Luca Mercalli and to the Regione Valle d’Aosta about technical aspects and then together with Giorgio Pession we took this decision. In two days time we will communicate the new date."
