After a year of enforced stop due to a pandemic, Arco’s Rock Master resumes its long adventure that ever since the mid ’80s has been reserved to the best of the best. For the 34th edition the competition includes an important novelty: the 16 athletes will compete in both the KO Boulder and the Duel disciplines.

Both of these comps are exclusive to the Rock Master. With regards to the KO Boulder, yesterday the athletes were allowed to work the blocs meaning that the boulders are harder than hard. The athletes with the worst scores are eliminated after each round, leaving the best three for the "showdown" on the last problem.

The Duel route was worked yesterday, too, meaning that the athletes know exactly how fast they can push it in this evening’s seeding round. After which they’ll battle it out on two parallel, identical routes. The first to press the buzzer at the top wins this fascinating event, while the Trophy will be awarded to the climbers who score best in both Boulder and Duel.
