Following the outrage of thousands of climbers, athletes and even their federations, the IFSC has temporarily changed its mind and decided to screen the first stage of the Bouldering World Cup 2017 free of charge via youtube today. After yesterday’s debut at Meiringen in Switzerland, which will be remembered above all for the red cards shown waived by the athletes in protest at the IFSC decision to make streaming subscription based, the competition continues today with the semifinals at 11, followed by the Finals at 18:30. While all eyes are on the provisional leaders Kokoro Fuji, Sergii Topishko, Shauna Coxsey and Janja Garnbret, surpise exclusions include Tomoa Narasaki, Sean McColl, Daniel Woods, Rustam Gelmanov and Jorg Verhoeven
