The video of Spanish climber Jorge Díaz-Rullo climbing Darwin Dixit 8c without a rope at Margalef.

Jorge Díaz-Rullo making a free solo ascent of Darwin Dixit 8c a Margalef
Free solo? Highball? The boundaries are blurred, the precise definition unimportant, what matters is the fact that the consequences of a fall are severe and the difficulties extreme. In this case young Jorge Díaz-Rullo, fresh from his 9b repeat of First Round First Minute at Margalef, decides to shun a rope and solo nearby Darwin Dixit.
For the record, this 8c was also climbed free solo by Dave Macleod in 2008, in preparation for his ultra-dangerous, as yet unrepeated mixed climb Don't Die of Ignorance on Ben Nevis in Scotland. At the time, unlike Díaz-Rullo, the Scotsman climbed without any crashpads.
