Racism exists, unfortunately, everywhere and in almost all walks of life. Also within the outdoor industry. This is clearly something that we must work on daily, both individually and collectively, in order to become better, more educated, more inclusive.

The People of Climbing featured here documents the second Color the Crag festival that took place at the sandstone crag Horse Pens 40 in Alabama in 2018. More importantly though, it provides precious and powerful insight from people of color about their past experiences in rock climbing. There is work to be done for change and progress to be made, within the world as a whole but also within our climbing community.
