Stefano Ghisolfi conquers Queen Line, the first 9b at Arco
Just a few months after repeating the 9b+ Perfecto Mundo at Margalef in Spain, Stefano Ghisolfi confirmes his amazing form once again by repeating what is like to be the hardest sport climb in Italy, Queen Line. Located at Laghel above Arco, the line was bolted by local Mauro Mabboni and freed by Adam Ondra during one of his Italian incursions in April 2017 and graded 9b.
Ghisolfi and Ondra had worked the route together, and much to his own surprise yesterday Ghisolfi managed to clip the chains. Next objective? Possibly the project immediately next to Queen Line, the route dubbed King Line which could be even harder still…
