Sebastién Bouin has managed to free one of his longstanding projects at his home crag Pic Saint Loup, France, naming it Ariégeois Cœur Loyal and grading the line 9b. The 30-year-old had got close to sending ACL last autumn just before his successful USA Jumbo Love trip, but the penultimate move proved too tricky at the time. Last Friday the Frenchman made the redpoint.
ACL is of particular importance to Bouin, as he explains "I bolted this route 5 years ago when my grandpa passed away. His wood worker name was Ariégeois Cœur Loyal (Loyal ariégeois heart). It was a great opportunity to keep him close to me all these years."
