The "Sardinia block scouting" event is proving to be a fantastic climbing trip with friends: top athletes, La Sportiva staff and local climbers all searching for new lines and bouldering areas.

Until now 70 problems have been cleaned and climbed, all of these bar one have never been climbed before, with difficulties ranging from 5a to 8a+. The team has visited four areas so far: two around Arzachena and two beneath Monte Pulchiana. What has been climbed so far is only a tiny part of what nature has generously provided. There's much in store for the next few days, the potential for development is high and psyche is high.

At the end of the trip we'll update you with precise information about how to get to the new bouldering areas, about where to stay, the boulders that have been cleaned and climbed so that everyone can enjoy these wonderful areas.

We'd like to thank all the locals - in particular Giorgio Soddu, Angelo Marratzu, Simone Masini and Nicolò Cadorin - who have supported us unconditionally; it is also thanks to them that this trip is turning out to be such a success.

You can follow all the live updates via twitter and facebook with the hashtag # sardiniabloc.
