At the gates of Campitello di Fassa there's a cave which ices over in winter. And Mario Prinoth, one of the local climbers, has recently decided to devote time and attention to this new playground where, on 12/01/2006 he freed his project "Albertina".

A man of few words, Mario has not put forward a grade, preferring to leave this task to future ascentionsits. Seeing though that he is one of the strongest climbers in the Dolomites, "Albertina" and the other routes in this "magic cave" are definitely worth a visit.

Getting there: from the center of Campitello continue for Val Duron. Pass the last houses and continue for circa 700m and then turn off right up the path before the aqueduct. Follow the path to reach the forest road. Cross this and the cave springs into view. Continue for another 300m on the right hand side of the valley to reach the cave.
