"Ombre Atomiche" at Erto for Luca Zardini

On 8 March Luca Zardini climbs "Ombre Atomiche" 8a+ boulder at Erto
On 8 March Luca Zardini climbed the final pitch that was missing from his Erto repertoire: "Ombre Atomiche", an 8a+ boulder problem freed by Klem Loscot a few years ago. As Zardini puts it:

“Ombre is a very particular route. Even though it’s four meters high and has five bolts, it all boils down to six extremely hard moves. That’s why it’s given a boulder grade.

I tried Ombre Atomiche after a month dedicated to bouldering, with two trips to the Cubo in Valle d'Aosta where I climbed four 7c.

I then tried the moves much more seriously than during the few sporadic attempts in the past. Last Wednesday I got really close to sending the problem but failed. Then, after a rest day, I topped out with a shout of elation. Great!”
