The crag Collepardo circa 1.5 hours southeast of Rome is increasingly becoming the testing ground for Laura Rogora. After her difficult first ascents La Gasparata in 2017 and Ercole in 2018, the 18-year-old Roman climber and leading athlete of the Italian climbing squad, has now made the first ascent of Rèveille-toi at Cueva di Collepardo. This new 9a is the direct finish to the 8c Il traverso dei sogni bolted by Roberto Podio.

"This direct finish was bolted by Bertrand Lemaire and I started gave it a go two years ago, but I started working it seriously only last September" Rogora told planetmountain.com "I managed to do it with just one rest, but then winter set in and the route started to seep, after which competitions began and I never returned. I tried it again on Saturday and immediately had good sensations, probably because of my winter training for competitions."
