Current Bouldering World Cup leader Kilian Fischhuber is making the most between one competition and the next. In the week before Grindelwald he freed “Paris in prison”, an old Gerhard Hörhager project at the Manga crag in the Zillertal. No clues needed for the route name, while the line itself is a “cracking testpiece, not particularly steep but with many bad holds” and weighs in at 8c.

A fortnight later Fischhuber got to grips with another open Gerhard Hörhager project at the Ewige Jagdgründe: the existing „Hounds of Love”, this time round without the chipped holds, since these had been filled in by Hörhager himself recently. Compared to “Paris” the line is “steeper, longer and with a few brutally powerful moves!” but it nevertheless warrants 8c. The route name for this second release (the first dates back to 1986) was clear from the outset: “Love 2.0”.
