One of Ireland’s biggest climbing strongholds is Inis Mór, the largest of the wild Aran islands just off the Irish coast. During his visit, England’s Steve McClure stated in no uncertain terms "I have never seen anything like it. There is more new route potential here that anywhere I’ve ever seen. Probably all put together." McClure is referring to the miles and miles of unexplored cliffs, which local Ricky Bell has only begun to develop. Curerntly there are less than 100 routes and, amazingly, the rock is "totally perfect."
