Taking advantage of crisp November conditions and his amazing run of form that netted him Beginning at Eremo di San Paolo at the start of the month, 21-year-old Giovanni Placci from Italy has now sent his second 9a+, Trofeo dell'Adriatico.

Described as "the best hard route in Arco" and located on the panoramic balcony at Bus de La Stria, the line was bolted a decade ago by David Lama and freed by Gabriele Moroni in January this year.

Two top-notch repeats by Adam Ondra and Stefano Ghisolfi confirmed the beauty and difficulty of the route, which has now been climbed by Italian Lead Cup winner after just six days of attempts all this month.

Like Ondra and Ghisolfi, Placci sent the route with a kneepad, and his comment after the redpoint was "Congratulations to Gabri Moroni for the F.A. (crazy that u climbed it without the kneepad ;-)"
