Federica Mingolla, climbing's rock star with Tiromancino
The climber from Turin Federica Mingolla is featured in the new music video Piccoli miracoli by Italian group Tiromancino.

Federica Mingolla
Who knows whether as a young girl Federica Mingolla ever dreamt of being a rock star? What is certain is that now, at least in our climbing world, the 21-year-old from Turin is already an important reference point. Not only for the difficult sports climbs she’s repeated - eg her fast ascent of the spectacular Tom et je ris 8b+ in the Verdon Gorges - and her competition results, but also because of late she’s been looking ever upwards, towards the mountains in general. Last summer for example she spent a few days at altitude repeating the 8a Digital Crack at 3800 metres on Mont Blanc.
Now this rock star also features in a music video Piccoli miracoli, sung by the Italian group Tiromancino and released just two days ago. The Roman band shot the clip at Monte Guadagnolo in the Prenestini mountains, southeast of the capital and band frontman Federico Zampaglione explained "I wrote and directed this clip thinking about the courage, determination and passion that women bring into whetever they do."
