‘El Maneton’ the latest news

News from the ‘El Maneton’ about their ascents at Erto, Covolo, Arco etc

We received a rapid review of what the ‘El Maneton’ climbers have been up to of late. For those who don’t know, the ‘El Maneton’ sports group is composed of some of Italy’s most talented climbers, including Dino Lagni (current World Champion, Jenny Lavarda (Italian Champion), Luca Zavagnin, Davide Zavagnin, and Lisa Benetti.

Dino Lagni made what is believed to be the first repeat of Klem Loskot’s bouldery "Ombre atomiche" 8a+ at Erto, before on-sighting "Grande Grimpe" 8a at Onore.

Finally free from the competition circuit, Jenny Lavarda made a series of impressive redpoints including "Incantesimo" 8a at Covolo, "Gilgamesh" 8a at Muzzerone, "Polentin" 8a at a Pian Schiavaneis and "Gradodipendenti" 7c+ at Pueblo di Massone.

Luca Zavagnin climbed "Dita di Pietro" 8a+ at Covolo, while his brother Davide flashed "Grande Grimpe" 8a at Onore 8a and freed "Shalom" 8b/8b+ at Covolo in just four attempts.

Lisa Benetti has returned in style after giving birth to redpoint the steep "Dita di Pietro" 8a+ at Covolo and the intense "Acido Lattico" 7c at Erto.

That’s all or now from ‘El Maneton’. For now…
