After five years of video reports following each stage of the Bouldering World Cup, German coach Udo Neumann has now decided to do something new: offer his analysis and his point of view half way through the season. So after the stages at Chongqing, Baku, Grindelwald and Innsbruck, here's his reasoning as to why the provisional ranking is currently led by Russia's Dimitri Sarafutdinov and Britain's Shauna Coxsey. But since the World Cup still needs to stop off at Toronto in Canada, Vail in the USA, Haiyang in China and Laval in France, surely there are plenty of surprises in store.
