All the beauty and climbing at Melloblocco on Tour 2018

Everything that makes and is Bouldering. From the fantastic rock boulders in Cresciano. To the special plastic problems at the Lugano Indoor Arena. Via climbing that interprets the city with its buildering discipline. There’s more than enough for everyone, from honed athletes to absolute beginners at Melloblocco on tour and the MBB Street Boulder 2018, the great climbing festival that will take place at Lugano and Cresciano in Switzerland from 3 to 6 May.

Of course, in addition to the actaul climbing - more than enough to suit all tastes - the program offers a thousand possibilities for fun and partying. The village built specifically for the event in Piazza Riforma will enliven the center of Lugano with music, meetings, evening shows and special guests. Guest stars on Thursday evening will be the Cameroni Family (father Claudio with his son Giuliano) who will talk about Cresciano yesterday, today and tomorrow, revealing the exclusive story of one of the premier bouldering areas in the world.

On Friday night it’ll be time for Matteo De Zaiacomo, the strong alpinist from Italy’s Valtellina and member of the exclusive Ragni di Lecco mountaineering club. De Zaiacomo will talk about the adventures he’s experienced on the rock faces on Baffin Island, up Qualido in Val di Mello and in Kyrgyzstan. The evenings end on Saturday night with 2014 Bouldering World Champion Juliane Wurm who will present one of the absolute gems of Cresciano and world Bouldering: "Dreamtime", in a video with Jan Hojer.

But that's not all. Melloblocco in Tour and MBB Street Boulder will liven up Lugano during all hours of the day, displaying the thousand facets and joys of climbing. Every day, from Thursday to Sunday therefore, the streets will be a hub of activity. The Chaos Family will give parkour demonstrations in Lugano’s Piazza Manzoni, while MBB4Baby will organise fun and games for the youngest: climbing, parkour, Tyrolean traverse, Tibetan bridge and much more that can be done all day in Piazza Manzoni.

Obviously there will also be the classic challenge on the Melloblocco competition problems. This, too, will be… on all types of terrain. The program: 7 + 7 Wild problems (male + female) on the fantastic rocks at Cresciano; 2 problems on "plastic" at the Lugano indoor Arena; 1 problem on a building in Lugano. Meanwhile, the route setters are busy creating their works (of art).
