Alexander Megos repeats legendary Action Directe in 2 hours
Superb news comes from Germany's Frankenjura where, yesterday afternoon, 20-year-old Alexander Megos managed to repeat Action Directe. A redpoint of the world's first 9a is already important news in its own right and what renders it even more interesting is the fact that Megos needed just a few attempts and two hours to repeat the line. For the man who succeeded in the world's first 9a onsight - Estado Critico at Siurana last year – repeating the 1991 testpiece put up by Wolfgang Güllich is a truly important moment, so much so that he describes it as his "best climbing day ever yesterday!"
More information and interview to follow shortly.
