The new challenge in Patagonia - Terra del Fuego

News from the Italian expeditions to Cerro Torre and Cerro Piergiorgio, Patagonia, including Mauro Bubu Bole, RIccardo Milani and Simone Pedeferri
As reported a few days ago, the four-man Italian expedition to Cerro Torre has established ABC beneath the South Face of Cerro Torre. They have set themselves the difficult task of forging a new route up this wall, and are now waiting for the inhospitable Patagonian weather to show its more benevolent side.

No such luck for their compatriots at nearby Cerro Piergiorgio, who have been forced to abandon hopes of completing a line up the massive North Face. The Ragni di Lecco expedition is currently climbing some lesser peaks in the vicinity.
